In 1981, Bryan David Smith was elected to serve as a director for the Irving Home Builders Association, which at the time had the largest membership within the National Home Builders Association. He was just 22 years old, making him the youngest member to ever have served. His fellow directors were in their 40’s and up. “It was an real honor and a privilege to serve on that board”.

In 1983, Bryan Smith Homes became 1 of 4 finalist in the prestigious Dallas Home and Apartment Builders Annual, McSam Awards for Best Product and Design- In the Mid Density Housing category. “We didn’t win the award, but we were honored to be included in the competition with 3 regional volume builders”
